Maple Walnut Scones
A couple of years ago, I used to go to this coffee shop to meet up with people and draw. Every time, I would get a coffee and one of these scones. Eventually I decided that it would be cheaper and better if I just learned to make these scones myself and invite my friends over as well.
This is one of my favorite recipes for a baked good to share. The scones come out super moist and delicious, more like fluffy biscuits. Sweet, maple-y, fluffy biscuits of joy. I like them best right out of the oven, when the top is crispy, the inside fluffy, and the icing is melting. But they’ll keep their crispiness if you cover them in aluminum foil on a plate on the counter overnight if there are any leftover (assuming it’s not as humid as it’s been around here lately…).
